The International Rescue Committee is accredited by the Board of Immigration Appeals to provide immigration services. All services are provided at nominal fees under the supervision of BIA accredited representatives.

The IRC in San Diego immigration office provides the following services:

Citizenship

IRC/San Diego provides FREE citizenship services through funding by the State of California's Department of Community Services and Development.  These services include: 

  • FREE Completion of the Application: computerized completion of naturalization (citizenship) applications including photos, copies, and notary/translations (if applicable).
  • FREE Submission of the Application to USCIS: IRC will mail your application.
  • FREE Follow-Up: follow-up on pending cases includes obtaining copies of USCIS receipts, fingerprint notices, and interview notices, and subsequent inquiries to USCIS on behalf of the applicant/petitioner by IRC.
  • FREE Citizenship Classes: citizenship classes on Wednesdays.
