Workforce Development

Thanks to Tucson businesses and refugee ambition, our job placement rate is nearly 90%.

Refugees are legally authorized to work in the U.S.  Finding employment is an important part of the path to self-sufficiency. IRC Tucson helps refugees find jobs ranging from entry level to professional.  We also give employers access to a pool of diverse, qualified, hard-working candidates.

Services are provided free of charge, and benefit both employers and employees. Benefits include:

  • On-site visits to determine the needs of employers
  • Thorough applicant screenings
  • Job counseling and placement
  • Interpretation and translation of job-related materials
  • Follow-up support to both employer and employee

IRC Tucson also helps refugees increase their living wage through assistance with job upgrades.
