English As a Second Language Program

The IRC-San Jose’s in-house ESL program offers instant access to English language instruction for refugees immediately upon arrival. The classes are conveniently located at the IRC’s office and provide flexible curriculum addressing their unique language needs. The goal of the program is to increase each client’s ability and confidence in using English, strengthen their capacity to find a job, adjust to their new environment, and advance more quickly when entering into full-time English classes.
