The Grove Foundation, created by Intel’s Andrew Grove and his wife Eva, has given the International Rescue Committee in San Francisco funding to invest in career building for recently arrived refugees.

The goal of the Grove Career-Based Training program is to provide short-term career-based training to highly motivated refugees which will result in a significant increase in their earning potential and long term career success.

Candidate assessment is based on:

• Desire to excel in targeted career field,
• Track record of career building, and
• The primary existing barrier to the candidate's professional upgrade is cost of the career based training.

Training can be provided by community colleges, technical institutes and occupational centers that include job placement services. The candidate will be expected to identify an optimal training institute.
