Employment: A key in attainment of self-sufficiency and self respect, this program offers clients the opportunity to work with an Job Developer who pairs clients with job openings in the community. An extensive Employment Orientation is also provided by the IRC.
Immigration: IRC offers necessary immigration services such as applications for Permanent Residence, travel documents, and visas to bring family members to the U.S. The Dallas office is Board of Immigration Appeals accredited.
Match Grant: A federally funded program emphasizing early-employment and welfare-avoidance that provides paid rent and utilities, spending money, transportation vouchers and child care assistance for up to 120 days. Candidates must show strong willingness to work. The program also includes comprehensive job search assistance, placement services and English as a Second Language classes.
Reception and Placement: The Reception and Placement program enables IRC to provide financial, orientation, employment, immigration and medical referral services to all new refugee arrivals.
Refugee Cash Assistance: A public-private partnership with the Texas Department of Human Services, the Dallas IRC office administers this program, providing temporary assistance to eligible refugees and asylees during their first eight months in the United States.
Volunteer Corps: A team of diverse individuals who provide valuable services such as direct support to clients as well as administrative aid to the IRC Dallas office. This team insures the success and integration of clients in the Dallas community.
Resource Development: The IRC Dallas office is in need of donations for our clients. We are currently accepting gently used clothing, toys,TVs, CD players, computers and household supplies.
