Make Dining Out Count for World Refugee Day 2008
Each year on June 20, World Refugee Day honors the courage, strength and determination of women, men and children who are forced to flee their homeland under threat of persecution, conflict and violence. This day was designated by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to bring attention to the plight of the 14 million refugees around the world. Learn more.
To commemorate World Refugee Day, Atlanta-area restaurants have pledged to support IRC Atlanta on Wednesday June 18, 2008 by participating in our 2nd annual Making Dining Out Count campaign. Whether you like Middle-Eastern, French, Cajun, Mexican, Mediterranean or other cuisine, there is a restaurant for you that will be supporting IRC Atlanta for World Refugee Day.
On June 18, these participating restaurants have pledged to support IRC Atlanta.
We hope that you will dine out with IRC on the 18th.
