IRC San Jose Welcomes its New ESL Instructor

The San Jose Office is pleased to welcome Sarah Heddon as the new ESL Instructor. Sarah, a Michigan native, previously worked in the San Jose Office as an outstanding VISTA Volunteer Coordinator, bolstering the volunteer program and supplementing the overburdened Employment Program with effective interns and volunteers. Prior to joining the IRC, Sarah founded the Bitone Project working to rehabilitate orphans through dance and music. She also has worked on several other projects in East Africa around the promotion of traditional arts and fishing. Sarah has a B.A. from Albion College in Anthropology and was a Fulbright Scholar in Tanzania where she studied Swahili Cultural and Religious Festivals. Please join us in welcoming Sarah to the team!
