Abilene Donation Fair, November 6, 2009
IRC Abilene will host a Donation Fair benefiting 23 refugee families who arrived in the Abilene area between June - August 2009. We are looking for volunteers to help organize the Donation Fair, a "free garage sale" where newly arrived refugees can choose items donated by the Abilene community. Families select fun items for their apartments and are then driven home by IRC staff & volunteers. IRC Abilene hosts one fair every three months for newly arrived refugees, so that all have a chance to receive nice items to fancy up their apartments.
