The 2008 IRC-UK Annual Lecture

The 2008 International Rescue Committee UK (IRC-UK) Annual Lecture took place on 16 June 2008 at The Royal Geographical Society in London. This year’s event was our seventh Annual Lecture and we were very pleased to be joined by António Guterres, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Mr Guterres described the IRC as the UNHCR's "most valuable partner worldwide" before setting out the key political, economic and environmental challenges driving displacement in the 21st century.
