IRC Ranked Among "Best Nonprofits To Work For"

01 Aug 2000 -

The book 100 Best Nonprofits To Work For includes the International Rescue Committee among the select group of organizations it recommends to people seeking a “meaningful, socially responsible job.”

The authors, the husband and wife team of Leslie Hamilton and Robert Tragert, cite the IRC as “the world’s foremost nonprofit, nonsectarian volunteer organization dedicated to rescue, relief and rehabilitation.”

This compilation of nonprofit workplaces, ranging from Alcoholics Anonymous to Zoo Atlanta, says that the IRC “has earned a well-deserved international reputation as a ‘good guy.’”  The authors add that “the need for the organization’s rescue work is likely to remain strong.”

100 Best Nonprofits To Work For (Second Edition) is an ARCO book published by Peterson’s, a division of Thomson Learning.
