Help Make the Holidays Special for Newly Arrived Refugee Families in Seattle

08 Nov 2006 - Join us in welcoming refugee children and families who have arrived in King County in the past year! The Seattle office of the International Rescue Committee is holding its annual winter party on January 27, 2007, from 2 to 4 PM.  There will be food, games and presents for refugee children 16 and under.

You can participate by "adopting" a refugee child for the party and providing them with an item off of their personal wish list ($30 and under limit).  Or make it an office event!  The IRC can provide the materials you need to meet the wishes of many refugee children by getting many people involved.  We can provide delicious breakfast donuts for groups that "adopt" 10 or more children for the party.  The toy drive will last from Nov. 20-Jan. 5.

What: Make this holiday special for a refugee child by contributing a gift item from their personal wish list ($30 and under).

Who: Your office, church, friends, or community group and the IRC!

When: The toy drive will last from Nov. 20th through the end of Dec.

Where:  Anywhere in the Seattle and surrounding neighborhoods, IRC can pick up your group donations.

How: Sign up today by calling Megan Anderson at 206-623-2105 or emailing Megan.Anderson@theIRC.org
