Making Dining Out Count in Atlanta

World Refugee Day– Wednesday June 20th 2007

Every year on June 20th, World Refugee Day recognizes the courage, bravery, and strength that refugees all around the world exhibit when forced to escape their homeland as a result of persecution, conflict, and war.

This year, the International Rescue Committee is asking you to help out the IRC and Atlanta’s refugees by dining out at restaurants that will be participating in World Refugee Day celebrations by donating a  percentage of their profits on June 20th. By choosing to eat at partnering restaurants, you will have contributed to many of the services and programs we offer to the refugees that resettle in the Atlanta area.

For more information on World Refugee Day or on the IRC please contact the IRC Atlanta’s Resource Development Manager, Kimberly Fulghum, at Kimberly.Fulghum@theirc.org, 404-292-7731 ext. 43.
