Janet Harris, Vice President of Development

Janet Harris is the IRC’s vice president of development. First serving as a consultant to the IRC, she guided its efforts to establish an endowment fund.  Since joining the IRC full-time in 2000, she oversees efforts to increase the IRC’s fundraising capacity and improving donor relations with individual philanthropists, foundations, and corporations. 

In the eight years prior to joining the IRC, she was a development and planning consultant for several nonprofit organizations, including The James Beard Foundation, Roundabout Theatre Company, The Public/New York Shakespeare Festival, and Berkeley Repertory Theatre.  From 1985 to 1992, Ms. Harris was the Director of Development at Manhattan Theatre Club.  She received a B.A. from the University of Iowa and attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.
