How You Can Help Refugees Start New Lives in the United States
All of the International Rescue Committee’s regional resettlement locations rely on volunteers to help newly arrived families adjust to their new homes and communities.
Here are just a few of the ways you can get involved:
- Tutoring refugees in basic English skills
- Mentoring refugee families or individuals
- Helping refugees write resumes and prepare for job interviews
- Picking up donated furniture and goods and delivering them to refugees’ new homes
Our resettlement offices also welcome donations and gifts in kind.
For more information or to volunteer, please contact the IRC regional resettlement office in your area.
