International Rescue Committee

Each year the International Rescue Committee holds its Freedom Award Dinner in New York to raise funds to carry out our vital humanitarian mission.  The Freedom Award was first bestowed in 1957 and is presented to individuals for their contributions to the cause of refugees and human freedom.  The list of those who have received the Freedom Award reveals the remarkable ability of an individual to shape history and create change for a better world.
