Geneva

First established in 1956, the IRC Geneva office represents the IRC with Geneva-based refugee and IDP-focused actors, most significantly the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).  In addition to playing a coordination and information-sharing role, the IRC Geneva office also hosts the Protection Surge Capacity Project, which recruits, orients, and trains Protection Officers for secondment to UNHCR field programs worldwide.

For more information about the IRC Geneva office, please contact IRC Geneva at geneva@theIRC.org or +41 22 731-3360.

The IRC's Geneva office manages the SURGE project, which helps staff United Nations efforts to protect refugees - like these Colombian children - during a crisis.
