The International Rescue Committee goes to crisis zones to rescue and rebuild. We bring refugees from harm to home.

The IRC in Phoenix

Since opening in 1994, the International Rescue Committee's Phoenix office has helped resettle more than 6,800 refugees. We are now the largest resettlement agency in Arizona.  We offer a variety of services to assist refugees from arrival through the citizenship application process, including a micro-enterprise program that helps refugees start small businesses, a youth and family services program, and a mental health program that helps refugees deal with all aspects of adjusting to their new lives in the United States.

Current staff language capacity includes Arabic, Bosnian, Farsi, French, German, Illomgo, Kirundi, Mandarin, Romanian, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Togalog and Twi. IRC also maintains a pool of on-call interpreters who speak Ahmeric, Arabic, Azari, Burmese, Dari, Dinka, Farsi, Italian, Karen, Kirundi, Kunama, Lingala, Mai-Mai, Mandingo, Nubian, Nubian, Nuer, Oromo, Pashtu, Russian, Somali, Tatar, Tigrinya, Turkish, Urdu and Vietnamese.

Hours of Operation
