The IRC in Miami

The International Rescue Committee's resettlement office in Miami opened in 1960 mainly to assist refugees fleeing the revolution in Cuba. Since then, the office has resettled tens of thousands of refugees from all over the world. In 2000, the Miami office expanded its services to asylees and Cuban lottery parolees. The IRC provides a comprehensive range of programs that ensure refugees receive assistance and guidance promoting their long-term success. These services are provided by dedicated and well-trained staff members who welcome new arrivals with compassion, understanding and respect.
